The River Theater is a non-profit organization.
An old waterfront building (on the trolley line), renovated in ‘97–‘98, the space boasts a classy/funky, warm, 6-table cafe/kitchen space with fridge, stove, coffee brewer, and triple sink.
The theater consists of a well-designed 93-seat black box with spacious, tiered seating. Everyone has a good view from the upholstered, reclining theater seats. The audience is situated around and above a ¾ thrust stage (approx. 20’ by 20’, with room backstage, as well).
The space is equipped with a
top-of-the-line lighting system which can be designed to enhance any
event, and a sound system with tape, CD, and mini-disc components which
feed into speakers over the audience (the system can also handle a
microphone and/or mixer set-up).
